Germany U21 v Spain U21: La Rojita set for comfortable Final win

| 29.06.2017

Germany may have secured their place in the European Under-21 Championship Final with a familiar penalty shoot-out triumph over England, but they’ll be no match for an imperious Spain side in the decider.

Albert Celades’ side haven’t been beaten for over 15 months, while Germany have already lost twice in this tournament – and only knocked out the Young Lions by the narrowest of margins in the Semi-Finals.

That means Spain more than justify their price as 4/9 favourites to lift the trophy, with Germany priced up at 7/4 for glory. But with modest returns on La Rojita simply coming out on top, the best value appears to lie elsewhere.

For starters, we recommend getting behind Saul Niguez in the goalscorer markets.

The Atletico Madrid ace has scored five times in Spain’s last four matches, opening the scoring on three of those occasions. He’s 5/2 to net anytime here, while the 15/2 for him to be first goalscorer looks very generous indeed.

However, we’re expecting the net to bulge at both ends in this game. Germany have scored in 17 of their last 20 matches, while that figure is at 18 for Spain.

Both sides registering in 90 minutes looks a safe bet at 7/10, though the 13/5 for Spain to win and Both Teams to Score could prove a more lucrative selection.

If it’s a scoreline bet you fancy, look no further than the 12/1 for Spain to win 3-1 in normal time. They’ve done just that in three of their last six games.

And last but not least, with La Rojita having led by the interval in eight of their last nine competitive wins, we like the 2/1 on offer for them to lead at half-time and win.
