Newboys Arbroath kick-off Ladbrokes League 1 season against Queen’s Park

It’s good news for fans from Alloa to Ayr today, with the fixtures for the 2017-18 Ladbrokes League 1 season now hot off the press. And proceedings begin with a suitably super opening day.
Newly promoted Arbroath make their bow against Queen’s Park while fellow League 1 newboys Forfar Athletic have a tricky test in the form of Airdrieonians.

Elsewhere, newly-relegated Raith Rovers and Ayr United will be looking to bounce back this season, and both can start this campaign on a high with away games against Alloa Athletic and Albion Rovers respectively.
The other opening day clash pits Stranraer against East Fife at Stair Park.
