Liverpool could make the most expensive signing in their history in the coming days, with a £70m move for Naby Keita lined up. And odds of the RB Leipzig man swapping Germany for Merseyside this summer have been trimmed from 7/4 to just 5/4.

The midfielder netted eight times from midfield in the Bundesliga last year, helping establish himself as one of the game’s hottest properties.

But the Reds – who are also 5/1 to add Hull City’s Andy Robertson to their ranks this summer – are far from the only club eyeing up big-name targets.

Watford are one such side, with new boss Marco Silva intensifying his pursuit of Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs. There’s 3/1 about the experienced defender making the 16-mile move from the Emirates to Vicarage Road before the window closes.

Elsewhere in the South-East, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is in the running for a pair of new recruits, in the shape of former Manchester City centre-back Jerome Boateng (7/2) and Roma ace Kostas Manolas (4/1).

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “It’s all happening right now, with Liverpool set to unleash their war chest for Keita, Watford chasing Gibbs and a potential Prem return for Boateng.”
