Ryan Moore odds-on to be crowned 2017 Royal Ascot Top Jockey

Ryan Moore is just 1/3 to land another Top Jockey gong at Royal Ascot. Aidan O’Brien’s first choice rider is set to partner another high-quality crop at 2017’s meeting and it’s difficult to look past him securing this year’s accolade.

Moore is certainly no stranger to success at the Royal event, having taken the Top Jockey award with six winners in 2016. Meanwhile, his modern-day record of nine successes in 2015 was a feat of individual brilliance.

So, it’s no surprise to see the Sussex-native at the head of the betting, especially when you consider he’ll be onboard the likes of Churchill, Order Of St George and Caravaggio to name but a few of his well-fancied mounts.

Next up is Ladbrokes ambassador and Berkshire hero Frankie Dettori at 4/1.

The exuberant Italian is also sure to have some lively chances at his disposal with Wesley Ward’s King’s Stand Stakes favourite Lady Aurelia one of those potentials.

Godolphin rider William Buick (12/1) is another to watch out for with Queen Anne Stakes hotpot Ribchester ready to give him the perfect start to the meeting.

Buick is only second behind Moore in terms of the number of winners he’s ridden at Ascot over the past three years and could well give the market leader something to think about.

Elsewhere, Roger Varian’s principal jockey Andrea Atzeni (16/1) and champion jockey Jim Crowley (25/1) can’t be discounted.

And finally, Silvestre De Sousa has four wins from eight rides at Ascot this year and he’s another 25/1 shot to consider.
