Vettel favourite in Canada but Hamilton is the Montreal maestro

More often than not, the Canadian Grand Prix produces some of the best racing of the season, and hopefully that trend will continue this weekend.
Especially as we’re witnessing a titanic title scrap between Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton.
The pair have won five of this season’s six races, and Vettel currently holds a 25-point lead in the standings.
He is 8/13 favourite to win a fifth world title, and is the market leader to prevail in Montreal too, with 6/5 on offer to the 29-year-old to claim his fourth win of the year.
Hamilton is in unusual territory as the underdog. The Brit is 6/4 for the title and 11/8 to win on Sunday.
But the Mercedes ace has a major trump card up his sleeve.
He thrives in Canada.
Hamilton’s Montreal record is nothing short of sensational, with five wins from his nine entries.
No other active driver has won the race more than once.
The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is one which favours an aggressive driving style, and it is arguably Hamilton’s strongest round of the season.
With changeable conditions forecast this weekend too, Hamilton certainly looks the man to back.

The teenager will become the first Canadian to race in their home event since 2006, but has yet to score a point in his debut campaign.
However, Williams often go well in Montreal, and 6/4 says Stroll responds to the pressure with the first points of his career this weekend.
