West Ham lead the pack in summer tussle for Chelsea prodigy

West Ham transfer news

West Ham United could be about to seriously bolster their attacking options this summer, with Slaven Bilic 9/4 to bring Chelsea’s Bertrand Traore to London Stadium. But they’re far from the only club lining up a move for the 21-year-old.

The Hammers struggled in attacking areas last term, with no player managing more than eight Premier League goals for the East London outfit.

But with Traore having chalked up 13 goals and a raft of assists for Ajax last season, they could be a far more potent force next term.

That’s if the Irons can get him, of course. They’re likely to face stiff competition from Everton, with the Merseyside outfit 7/2 to snap up the Burkina Faso international before the window closes.

French heavyweights Lyon (5/1) are next in the betting, with Schalke 04 (7/1) also believed to be keen.

A return to Ajax is priced up at 10s, as is a move to Borussia Dortmund.

The latter certainly looks interesting, with BvB’s new head coach Peter Bosz having already managed Traore at Ajax and fellow Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem.

Meanwhile, it’s a Prem pair who round out the market, with Chelsea unlikely to sell to rivals Liverpool (14/1) or Arsenal (20/1) for anything short of an astronomical price.
