Chelsea comfortably the best-backed side for the Premier League

Chelsea are three times more popular to win the 2017-18 Premier League than any other club with our punters.
We can report the reigning champions – currently 3/1 second-favourites to retain the title – are leading the way by some distance in terms of bets placed.
That’s despite the Stamford Bridge outfit doing relatively little in the way of transfer business this summer, while the future of Diego Costa remains unknown.
Meanwhile, for the first time in Premier League history, Everton (80/1) are proving a more popular bet than Liverpool (11/1) to lift the trophy next May.
The Toffees have been on a major spending spree this summer, although they have since sold Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.
And at the other end of the table, Huddersfield Town remain the most backed side for relegation, with David Wagner’s men 4/7 for the drop.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “While Chelsea have done very little in the way of improving their squad for the upcoming season, punters clearly can’t see a way past Antonio Conte’s men.”
