Wenger thinks Sanchez is staying at Arsenal – but our traders disagree

Alexis Sanchez is still odds-on to join Manchester City this summer, according to the latest prices.

Arsene Wenger may remain defiant over his star striker’s future, claiming that Sanchez will stay at the Emirates this summer, but our traders aren’t so convinced.

We still rate the blue half of Manchester at just 4/7 to snap up the Chilean before the transfer window closes.

Bayern Munich are chalked up at 6/1, followed by a move across London to Chelsea at 8/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Both punters and bookies are in agreement over Sanchez’s future, and it’s not at Arsenal as Wenger seems to think.”

Sanchez produced arguably his best season yet for Arsenal last term, scoring 30 goals in addition to 19 assists for his team-mates.

But his contract expires in 12 months’ time, as does Mesut Ozil’s, and it appears that no new deal will be reached anytime soon.
