We may be two-thirds through the Flat season but there’s still plenty of treats to enjoy, including this week’s Ebor Festival at York.

Wednesday’s racing starts with an absolute corker as Barney Roy and Churchill renew their rivalry in the Juddmonte International Stakes.

There’s a further three races to enjoy live on ITV, and as always, we’re here to guide you through the action.

NAP – Barney Roy – 15:35, York

Trying to split Churchill and Barney Roy is like trying to choose your favourite child.

Luckily we’ve made that decision for you and it’s the Richard Hannon trained three-year-old that gets the vote here.

In the third battle between these two supreme colts, we’re backing Barney Roy to take the spoils following his victory over Churchill in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The Godolphin-owned star followed that win up with a narrow defeat to Ulysses in the Coral-Eclipse. And having proved his stamina over 10f we think he’ll overcome Churchill for the second time this season.

NB – Fleet Review – 14:25, York

An impressive dual winner at the Curragh this summer, Fleet Review comes into this with a 3lb drop as he makes the step up from 6f to 7f.

With the in-form Ryan Moore in the saddle for this one we reckon Fleet Review has as good a chance as any of landing his first race on British soil.

This impressive two-year-old has more to give and we fancy that he’ll show it in the Acomb Stakes.

Trainer Aiden O’Brien hasn’t won this renewal since 2000 with Hemingway, so by our reckoning he’s well overdue a success.

Lively Longshot – Line of Reason – 13:55, York

Paul Midgley’s seven-year-old finished fourth in this race last year and we like the experienced son of Kheleyf to go well again this time around.

In a race that usually sees big priced winners the Irish charge certainly looks as though he can add to his Scottish Sprint Cup handicap victory from earlier on in the season.

He beat a number of re-opposing adversaries that day, including favourite Orion’s Bow, who also runs here.
