ITV Racing Tips: Sir Dancealot set to waltz to Goodwood victory

It’s been a superb week of racing but, like all good things, Glorious Goodwood comes to an end for another year on Saturday.
We have the featured race of the day to look forward to – the Stewards’ Cup, along with the Stewards’ Sprint Handicap.
ITV have the first four racings live on TV so, as ever, we’ll do our best to light the way with some value tips.
Frankie Dettori and Ryan Moore are going head-to-head in this Group Three Gordon Stakes renewal. We’re siding with the latter, who is on-board 11/8 favourite, Crystal Ocean.
Sir Michael Stoute’s rapid three-year-old has been in good form this season amongst some quality company with placed-finishes in two Group Two races at York and Royal Ascot.
It’ll depend on the ground on the day but we think he’s well worth the price despite Dettori going on Khalidi.
Projection being made 7/1 favourite is a bit of an odd one for this Group One Stewards’ Cup renewal.
Without a win since September 2015, we’d recommend avoiding and to pin your hopes on David Elsworth’s Sir Dancealot instead.
The 3-year-old’s form has gotten progressively better throughout the season and a second place finish in the Bunbury Cup.
At the 10/1 prices being quoted, we’re all over it for the value alone.
Beaten here earlier in the week the step up to six furlongs will suit John Bridger’s eight-year-old a little better.
After the rains over the last few days, the softer ground should suit him, too. His recent runs at Goodwood read like 1-1-2-1-3-2-3-2-6, so at 12/1, we like him a lot – even at an e/w punt.
