Punter wins £13.5k on 20-fold acca…aided by a 95th min winner!

| 10.08.2017

What do Atletico Lanus, Benfica, and Barnsley have in common?

No, this isn’t the career of a well-travelled journeyman. They’re three of the clubs who secured a £13.5k win for one of our plucky Ladbrokes punters after their 20-fold football acca came in.

Some of our customer’s selections did their job with ease. Celtic and Hibernian recorded 5-0 League Cup wins north of the border, while Bristol City recorded the same scoreline in their Carabao Cup mauling of Plymouth Argyle.

The likes of Leeds United and Leyton Orient also chalked up comfortable wins, but it wasn’t all smooth sailing for our bettor.

Norwich City came from behind to record a 3-2 victory over Swindon Town, while Championship trio Queens Park Rangers, Nottingham Forest, and Sheffield United also made our punter sweat with single-goal victories.

However, it was a pair of late goals – one in South America and the other in South Yorkshire, which guaranteed this bet came good in the most dramatic fashion.

In the Copa Libertadores, Atletico Lanus grabbed an 85th minute Copa Libertadores winner over The Strongest thanks to prolific hitman Jonathan Sand.

But it’s young Barnsley forward Ryan Hedges who will have secured hero status in the eyes of this punter.

With the scores locked at 3-3 between the Tykes and Morecambe at Oakwell, and the final whistle seconds away, the 22-year-old curled home a stunning long-range effort to help give this ambitious acca a dream ending.

Never mind ‘hedging your bets’, the best call was here was to bet on Hedges!
