Stenson and Kisner the star men at the Wyndham Championship

This weekend’s Wyndham Championship offers one last chance for those on the PGA Tour to reach the FedEx Cup Play-offs.
Though many of the big-hitters are swerving this event to grab some rest, you can rest assured that everyone else will bring their A-game to the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina in a bid to enhance their points standings.
There may be no Jordan Spieth or Dustin Johnson, but the calibre this weekend is high, with more than five Major winners in the field.
Here’s how the main contenders shape up…
Henrik Stenson – 14/1
After a ropey spell which saw him miss five cuts from six events across the spring, Henrik Stenson has been much-improved of late.
The Swede has posted a trio of top-20 finishes in his last three tournaments.
Kevin Kisner – 16/1
Kevin Kisner could have been heading into this weekend as the US PGA Championship winner, after leading Thursday through to Saturday at Quail Hollow.
Unfortunately a final round 74 ensured he didn’t top the leaderboard when it mattered, and now we’ll find out how the American bounces back after his best shot at a Major.
Ryan Moore – 22/1
Plenty will fancy Ryan Moore this weekend, the 2009 Wyndham champion.
The 34-year-old posted a T10 at Sedgefield in 2015 too, and was in decent form last time out to come home T13 at the US PGA.
Webb Simpson – 22/1
Webb Simpson is one of several players to have claimed their first PGA Tour title in this event. Indeed, the American’s daughter is named Wyndham for just that reason.
That victory came back in 2011, and a T6 in 2015 backs up his Sedgefield credentials. Is yet to win this year, with three top-eight finishes the highlights so far.
Bill Haas – 25/1
If it’s consistency you’re looking for in a pick this weekend, then Bill Haas is your guy.
The American’s Wyndham record since 2011 reads T7/T20/T2/T6/T22.
And Haas has brought that consistency into 2017 too, making six of his last seven cuts, peaking with a T5 at the US Open.
Jason Dufner – 28/1
It’s been an up-and-down few months for Jason Dufner, who followed up victory at the Memorial Tournament by missing the cut at the US Open.
Bounced back with a T14 at the Open however, and a T7 result here in 2012 – including a third round 63 – shows the American knows his way around Sedgefield.
