Things are starting to look up for Tottenham Hotspur.

After a stuttering start to the season, Spurs have won five of their last six games in all competitions.

In the Premier League, the Lilywhites now sit fourth in the fledgling table.

Meanwhile, a convincing 3-0 victory over Apoel Nicosia puts the North Londoners in an excellent position in the Champions League.

It’s all starting to come together nicely for the Wembley tenants, who are 16/1 to claim a maiden Prem title.

Given Tottenham’s near misses of recent years, they certainly have the experience to manage a title push.

The next month or so should really test their resolve though, with Manchester United, Liverpool and local rivals Arsenal all to come.

However, as Spurs have proved they have the capability to perform in the big games.

They’re unbeaten in four against Arsenal and have won two of their last three against United.

That sort of form, combined with Spurs’ general ruthlessness against the lesser sides in the top-flight, should make them serious candidates for the top four and perhaps even the title.

And that’s without even considering the immense talent they have at their disposal.

Harry Kane has already hit 11 goals in 10 games for club and country, which is doubly as good given that the 24-year-old doesn’t traditionally start scoring until 1 September.

Since the start of this month, the England ace has bagged a hat-trick and a quartet of braces.

With Dele Alli yet to hit his best form there’s still plenty to come from Tottenham’s attacking players.

The defence doesn’t look too shabby either.

Serge Aurier may have got himself sent off last week but on the whole, the new addition from Paris Saint-German has been an exceptional signing.

It all adds up to leave the Wembley-based side in an excellent position defensively, even if the left-side could be slightly stronger.

In another positive for Pochettino, Moussa Sissoko finally looks as though he’s finding his feet in North London.

With options all over the park for the Argentine, the North Londoners are tempting as an each-way punt for the league title at the very least.
