West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is the new favourite in the Premier League sack race, according to our latest odds.

The Hammers boss is now the clear even-money favourite for the chop following Frank de Boer’s exit from Crystal Palace.

Bilic’s men have started the season poorly and it appears not even victory over Huddersfield Town on Monday night has alleviated the pressure.

With a trip to West Bromwich Albion up next it’s not going to get any easier for the beleaguered Croatian.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United chief Rafa Benitez is next in the running at 8/1.

He’s followed by Eddie Howe and Arsene Wenger, both at 12/1.

Wenger in particular looks vulnerable, and it’s a daunting visit to Chelsea up next for the Gunners on Sunday.

Three others, including Craig Shakespeare and Paul Clement, are also available at 12s.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The Sack Race has already taken one casualty this season in the shape of De Boer but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Bilic packing his bags in the near future.”
