West Ham v Brighton: Hammers have enough to edge tight affair

The Premier League resumes on Friday night with an intriguing clash at the London Stadium, as West Ham United play host to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Both sides will be hopeful of a good result after solid 1-1 draws last weekend.

However, it’s the Hammers that hold the advantage ahead of the clash in East London.

Since regaining promotion to the Premier League in 2012, the Irons have won 11 from 15 at home against top-flight newcomers.

We make them 5/6 to continue that run, with Brighton available at 7/2. The draw is 23/20.

Regardless of the result, we think it’ll be a tight affair under the lights in Stratford.

The Seagulls were renowned for their defensive solidity last season. And they’ve continued their impressive rearguard performances in the top-division.

Six of their eight games so far have seen Under 2.5 Goals and at 4/6, we’re fairly certain that trend is set to continue.

Add in that Brighton haven’t won away from home since April and it might be worth doubling up on West Ham to Win and Under 2.5 Goals at 13/5.

If the Hammers are to win they’re going to need someone to put the ball in the back of the net.

Michail Antonio bagged his first goal of the season last weekend against Burnley and is fancied to make it two in two games back at the London Stadium.

He’s 15/8 to score Anytime, while it’s a tasty 9/2 that he bags the first goal of the contest.

For the visitors, the onus will likely fall on the highly impressive Pascal Gross.

The summer signing from Ingolstadt netted a brace against West Brom in September and has looked dangerous in all of his appearances so far.

In what should be a tight game, he provides excellent value at 10/1 as the first player to get on the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something a bit different, why not dabble in our new #GetAPrice market?

West Ham’s ever-dangerous striker Chicarito is 8/5 to have 2+ Shots during the match, while you can get 6/4 on Lewis Dunk to Win 2+ Tackles.
