Bayern Munich favs to defeat Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker

There’s a huge game in store this Saturday night as Borussia Dortmund host Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga’s first Der Klassiker of the season.
There’s plenty at stake too. A win for BvB would see them return to the top of the table.
But a Bayern victory would move the reigning champions six points clear.
Our traders fancy Robert Lewandowski and co to get the job done too. Bayern are 21/20, with Dortmund the 11/5 outsiders.
Peter Bosz’s men flew out of the blocks at the start of the season, and led the way for the early months.
They won six of their opening seven league games, but have stuttered in recent weeks.
Both Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid exposed Dortmund’s defensive weaknesses in the Champions League.
And their stuttering defence means BvB are winless in five across Bundesliga and European competition.
While Dortmund have slumped, Bayern have come to the fore and rediscovered their old selves.
Carlo Ancelotti was shown the door after a mediocre (for Bayern’s standards) start to the season.
Jupp Heynckes has returned and Der FCB head to the Westfalenstadion looking for a sixth straight victory across the league and Europe.
So the momentum firmly lies with the visitors this Saturday.
Goals have certainly been a theme in recent meetings between these two German giants.
The last three contests have yielded 14 goals, an average of more than four per game.
So backing over 3.5 goals would appear to make sense at 23/20. A Bayern win and over 3.5 goals also looks good at 16/5.
Dortmund will always have a chance with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the squad though.
The Gabon international is on 15 goals from 16 games this term, and is 7/2 to open the scoring.
Bayern’s Lewandowski is favourite to break the deadlock though. The Polish striker missed the Celtic game in midweek but is expected to return this weekend.
The 29-year-old has netted 14 times from 16 appearances this season, and is 3/1 to score first against his old club.
