Everton emerge as shock favourites to sign Liverpool star Sturridge

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge could be set for a sensational cross-town switch to Everton, according to our latest odds.
The Toffees have emerged as the shock 6/4 favourites for the England striker’s signature as the 28-year-old contemplates a move ahead of next year’s World Cup.
If the forward completes a switch to Goodison Park, he will become the first player to transfer between the two fierce rivals since Abel Xavier in 2002.
However, Everton aren’t the only club eying the wantaway ace.
West Ham United, who were linked with a move for the forward back in the summer, are another potential destination at 7/4.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United are seen as a 7/2 shot, with Crystal Palace and Southampton both rated as 6/1 chances.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The longer Sturridge sits on Liverpool’s bench, the less likely he is to be sitting on Southgate’s plane to Russia. But with a January move now looking inevitable, the striker might just ruffle a few feathers on his way out of Anfield by moving across the city.”
