Everton latest: Dyche and Allardyce in two-horse race for Goodison gig

Published:

Sean Dyche and Sam Allardyche are the clear favourites to succeed Ronald Koeman as Everton boss.

The market again fluctuated overnight, with Burnley boss Dyche leading the way at 10/11.

But former Bolton Wanderers and England manager Allardyce remains firmly in the frame at 6/5.

Unlike Dyche however, Big Sam is currently without a club since leaving Crystal Palace in the summer.

And it has been reported that the Goodison Park owners have sounded out the Englishman in recent days.

Everton sacked Ronald Koeman last Monday following a dismal start to the season.

Toffees U23 coach David Unsworth has taken charge of the club since, but has failed to spark a change in fortunes.

Consequently, the former defender’s odds have drifted from 2/1 to 6/1.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans may feel a little concerned however.

Nuno Espirito Santo has made quite the impact at Molineux this season, and is now a 13/2 shot having previously been out of the mix at 20/1.

Watford manager Marco Silva and former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel are each at 8/1.

Chris Coleman is 12/1 despite reports he could soon sign a new contract with Wales, while Carlo Ancelotti, former Everton boss David Moyes and Paolo Fonseca are each a 16/1 chance.
