Hammond triggers Budget Buzzword Bingo payouts

Philip Hammond’s Autumn Budget led to a flurry of wins for Ladbrokes punters on Buzzword Bingo.

Many will have been pleased when the Chancellor said “Economicky” (16/1). Unsurprisingly he also said “Brexit”, which was the most popular pick at 1/3. “Fit for the Future” (5/2) and “Crisis” (4/1) were also mentioned.

This could be Hammond’s last Budget. Our traders reckon he’s 1/2 to be gone by the time next year’s comes around.

Michael Gove is 4/1 favourite to replace him at the Treasury.

It’s 8/1 for John McDonnell to deliver a Labour Budget next November.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “This was a bonanza budget for the punters, but the Ladbrokes’ Political Desk’s Christmas Party has officially been cancelled”.
