QPR v Brentford: Bees to sting Hoops in West London derby

Monday night’s football action sees Queens Park Rangers entertain Brentford in what should be a fiercely contested derby at Loftus Road.

Both sides have enjoyed moderate starts to the season and will see this game as a chance to close the gap on the play-off places.

The Bees have the better form going into the match with just one defeat in their last 10 games.

And after defeating QPR 4-1 in the Carabao Cup earlier this season, they hold the psychological advantage too.

Dean Smith’s side are rated as a tempting 27/20 chance to win the game, with the hosts available at 9/5. You can back the draw at 5/2.

One thing we are pretty certain of is that there will be action in either goalmouth.

These sides have been involved in games totalling 96 goals from just 36 games so far in the Championship this season.

That suggests that Over 2.5 Goals is the way to go at 8/13.

Indeed, the last two meetings between the two clubs have seen the ball hit the back of the net a total of nine times. With Over 3.5 Goals priced at 6/4, we think it could be another high-scoring encounter.

For the visitors, Neal Maupay has been in good scoring form of late.

The Frenchman has hit two goals in his last four games and is a 19/10 chance with our traders to score anytime. It’s the same-price for Bees top scorer Ollie Watkins.

Ian Holloway’s men will be relying on Idrissa Sylla to continue his own impressive run.

Three of QPR’s last six goals have come from the boot of the Guinea international who is a 21/10 shot to score anytime during the contest. You can also back him at a hefty 13/2 to break the duck first.

We also like the look of the First Team to Score market.

Brentford have found the back of the net first in seven of their last eight games and in their last three match-ups against tonight’s opponents.

It’s 20/23 for that trend to continue under the lights at Loftus Road.
