Noel Meade’s charge Disko has seen his odds cut once again as the King George VI Chase draws ever closer.

The six-year-old has been backed into 12/1 after starting out last week as a 20/1 shot.

It comes following news from Gigginstown racing manager Eddie O’Leary that stable-mate Road to Respect looks to be heading to Leopardstown.

That would leave Disko free to represent connections in Kempton’s showpiece on Boxing Day.

Might Bite remains the favourite at 11/8, followed by Bristol De Mai at 10/3 and Thistlecrack at 5/1 to retain his crown.

Punters were right to back Guitar Pete at a big price for the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup last week. Could they be right again here?

Meanwhile, Mysteree has moved from 16/1 to 12/1 for the Welsh Grand National on 27 December.

Michael Scudamore’s mount is yet to run this season but showed signs of progression last term and could be worth a punt as joint-fourth favourite.

Milansbar is another attracting interest at 20/1, in from 25s.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Disko has been quietly backed over the last few weeks, but today’s gamble is the strongest yet following the latest news from Gigginstown.”
