We get the lowdown on Dan Skelton’s Saturday runners
Published:
I start the day with Embole in the 11.55 at Newcastle.
If you look at his form you wouldn’t be too sure as he finished fourth in a four-runner race in France.
But he shouldn’t have been running that day in my opinion as the ground was way too fast for him.
He jumps nicely at home and wants a bit of cut in the ground. He’s ready to get started and this will be a very informative experience and tell us where we are going.
Hear No Evil runs in the 13.05. Obviously he won his first start for us over hurdles at Aintree and looked pretty good doing that.
Now I want him to back that up. It will be a deep race.
The horse that was second to him at Aintree won the listed hurdle at Haydock last week, so the form is there.
He stays well and the ground shouldn’t be a problem. I’m really looking forward to getting him back out there and then making a plan for the rest of the season.
We have Sam Red running in the 15.20. He’s won two novice chases for us this season so far.
We like him and he’s going in the right direction. He is ready for a race of this type.
