Hearts favs for Norwich City man; but Rangers strong contenders
Having struggled for game-time under current Norwich City boss Daniel Farke, Steven Naismith looks certain to leave Carrow Road this month. And it’s Heart of Midlothian who are favourites.
Hearts are chasing a top-four finish, spurred on by the goals of Kyle Lafferty. And it’s Evens that Naismith reunites with his former Rangers teammate at Tynecastle this month.
Speaking of the Gers, they’re also in firmly in the hunt to re-sign Naismith. The 31-year-old is 6/4 to head back to Ibrox before the January window closes.
The Irving native began his career with Kilmarnock, and they’re also looking to reunite with him.
Killie are a rejuvenated force under manager Steve Clarke, and it’s 4/1 the Ayrshire club pip their Ladbrokes Premiership rivals to Naismith’s signature.
Despite a lack of opportunities this term, Naismith’s solid displays for the Canaries last season showed he’s got plenty more to offer.
And with 45 Scotland caps, as well as Premier League and Champions League experience under his belt, he’d be a valuable addition to any dressing room.
Next up for Hearts is a Scottish Cup clash with city rivals Hibernian in nine days’ time.
Could Craig Levein’s men pull off a double-whammy of derby day joy and an impressive transfer coup?
