Stamford Bridge - Chelsea

With two weeks to go until the end of the January transfer window, the rumour reel is beginning to hot up

A quartet of Premier League strugglers are in the hunt for Ligue 1 hotshot.

Meanwhile, Chelsea look set to add a new full-back to their ranks.

We’re here with all the latest transfer news from today’s rumour reel…

Emerson Palmieri

Chelsea haven’t had much luck in the transfer market over the last couple of seasons.

But that could be about to change.

The Blues are even-money favourites to sign AS Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri.

They lead Paris-Saint Germain (2/1) and Manchester United (7/1) with reports emerging that Antonio Conte’s side have made an approach for the highly-rated Brazilian.

His signing would provide competition for first-choice Marcos Alonso as Chelsea bid to strengthen their defensive line.

Karl Toko Ekambi

Up to four Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for Angers forward Karl Toko Ekambi.

The 25-year-old has bagged 10 goals in Ligue 1 so far this season and is attracting interest from West Bromwich Albion, Everton, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Angers have already rejected a bid of £14m for their star man but may not be able to hold on to their prized asset for much longer.

Ekambi has been capped 17 times by Cameroon and is ranked seventh in Ligue 1’s scoring charts since the start of the season.

Simon Mignolet/Jan Oblak

Liverpool’s goalkeeping problems are well-documented.

So could Jurgen Klopp be about to dispense with one of his beleaguered shot-stoppers?

Simon Mignolet is reportedly considering his Anfield future and is said to be a target for Serie A leaders Napoli.

If a deal for the Belgian goes through either this month or in the summer, the Reds are believed to want Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak as his replacement.
