Ostersunds v Arsenal preview: Can Gunners turn the heat on?

The Europa League represents Arsenal’s best hope of Champions League qualification this season. But they’re in for a real test away to Ostersunds in the round of 32.

The odds suggest Arsenal should win comfortably at 4/9. The Swedish side are 6/1 outsiders and the draw is 16/5.

However, the visitors aren’t used to playing in freezing cold temperatures. They don’t play on 4G pitches either.

Saying that, Arsene Wenger has taken a strong squad to Sweden. We like the look of Arsenal and Both Teams to Score at 11/5.

Alexandre Lacazette will miss out after undergoing a knee operation. That opens the door for Danny Welbeck in attack. The England forward is 10/3 to open the scoring.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also 6/4 to bag his first Arsenal goal Anytime.

It could take some time for Arsenal to warm up though, in every sense. They’ve got an abysmal away record this term and the cold won’t help. Draw / Arsenal is 29/10 in the Half Time / Full Time market.

Ostersunds could cause some problems for the Gunners defensively. The North London side have only kept one clean sheet in their last 12 games in all competitions. Over 2.5 Goals is 8/11.

It might be hard work but we think Arsenal should have enough to take a lead into the second leg.
