Burnley’s Tarkowski odds-on to make England World Cup squad
Published:
James Tarkowski is now odds-on with Ladbrokes footballer traders to make England’s World Cup squad.
The Burnley defender received a call-up from Gareth Southgate for the upcoming international friendlies and has seen his odds of making the plane to Russia slashed to just 5/6 as a result.
Meanwhile, Nick Pope (EVS) is almost as likely as Joe Hart to make England’s World Cup squad, with Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook now considered a 5/2 shot.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s a credit to Sean Dyche and Burnley that the England boss has given Pope and Tarkowski a chance to impress on an international stage. And the odds suggest we’ll be seeing the pair in Russia this summer.”
Does he deserve the call-up?
