Champions League tips: Wembley thriller as Tottenham host Juventus

Published:

The Champions League continues tonight and it’s make or break time for Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur.

They host Italian giants Juventus at Wembley, after a 2-2 epic in Turin three weeks ago.

It’s left the second-leg beautiful poised.  The Serie A champions have to come out and play.

Those two away goals could be vital for Spurs tonight, and they’re 4/11 favourites go through. It’s 2/1 for Juve to progress.

As for the match betting, there’s 23/20 about a Tottenham victory under the arch. The draw is 9/4 and an away win is 12/5.

Spurs come into this one enjoying a 17-game unbeaten streak. Only Manchester City – arguably the best side in Europe right now – have defeated them since December.

And it’s a similar story for Juventus, who are unbeaten in 20 games.

The 2-2 draw in Turin last month is the only time Juve have conceded in their last 11.

But they must take the game to Spurs tonight, and that could leave them vulnerable again. Both teams to score is 4/5, and over 2.5 goals is Evens.

Harry Kane sparked the Spurs revival in that first-leg, and the England international is 3/1 favourite to score first tonight.

Gonzalo Higuain bagged two (and missed a penalty) in that clash. The Argentine striker is available at 9/2 to break the deadlock.

The key men this evening could be Son Heung-Min and Paulo Dybala.

Son scored both goals in Spurs’ 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the weekend, taking his tally to 15 in all competitions.

That includes three in this season’s Champions League. The South Korean is 13/2 to score first and 9/4 anytime.

Juve though, will be hoping Dybala comes up trumps again, having scored a vital winner away at Lazio on Saturday.

The Argentine is 5/1 in the betting to net first, with 9/5 about him scoring at any time tonight.
