Wolves 5/2 to not win Championship; 7/1 to miss out on promotion

Less than a month ago, Wolverhampton Wanderers seemed to be all-but-certain of promotion to the Premier League. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were 1/250 to make it up – but that’s all changed in recent weeks.
Their lead at the top of the Championship has been cut from 13 points to just three, having taken just five points from as many games.
Saturday saw the Molineux club beaten 4-1 by rivals Aston Villa. And our traders now make it as short as 7/1 for Wolves to miss out on Promotion.
It’s now just 5/2 for Wolves to not win the league. Though fans of the Black Country club will be praying the 1/5 on them to go up as champions comes in.
However, that price is far longer than the 1/40 for a title triumph just a few short weeks ago.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We never thought we’d be saying this, but there’s now every chance Wolves slide off top spot and out of the automatic promotion places between now and the end of the season.”
