The stakes could hardly be higher as Derby County face Cardiff City at the iPro Stadium tonight.

Victory for the Bluebirds would leave them within touching distance of the Premier League. A draw or better for the Rams would lift them into the play-off spots.

Cardiff are in significantly better form at present. They’ve won 10 of their last 13 matches, including each of the last two. As for Derby, they’ve lost four of the previous six – including a 4-1 home mauling by now-relegated Sunderland.

Add the fact that Neil Warnock’s men won 4-3 on their last visit to this part of the Midlands, and three points for the visitors look likely. It’s 31/20 for a Cardiff win, while a Derby victory is 9/5 and 11/5 for the draw.

Goals are likely. The visitors have scored in 11 of the past 13 games, while that stat is five from six for Gary Rowett’s charges. It’s 4/5 for Both Teams to Score, while a Bluebirds triumph with BTTS is a 4/1 shot.

Five of the South Wales club’s last six wins have seen them ahead at the break. And Warnock’s clinical side are 7/2 to lead at half-time and win.

Meanwhile, there’s a more sizeable 9/1 for a 2-1 Cardiff victory – something we’ve seen five times this term.

So, who could be getting amongst the goals?

For the visitors, Kenneth Zohore has been banging them in. He’s netted in five of their last 11 games, opening the scoring in four of those. The Dane is 2/1 to Score Anytime, while it’s 5/1 he breaks the deadlock.

Meanwhile, Matej Vydra is 6/4 to add to his 19 Championship goals for the Rams this term.
