Sharp punters backing 33/1 shot Emily Blunt to be next James Bond

Emily Blunt’s odds of becoming the next James Bond have taken a substantial cut over the weekend.

A flurry of bets from the actress’ fans have forced our traders to slash odds of her replacing Daniel Craig from 100/1 to 33/1.

That makes her one of the most notable market movers of the year so far.

It also means we’ve been forced to cut the odds of any female playing 007 from 12/1 to 11/1.

However, it’s McMafia actor James Norton who remains the favourite alongside Tom Hardy – each at 3/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “All eyes have been on the head of the Bond market but Emily Blunt has been the subject of a flurry of weekend bets and she’s now the most likely female to be handed the role.”
