Tottenham set for mass summer exodus; four stars odds-on to leave
Published:It’s been a miserable few days for Tottenham Hotspur fans, with Saturday’s FA Cup defeat condemning Spurs to a 10th successive trophyless campaign. And things could get worse for the club, with a flurry of summer exits likely.
Four of the current Tottenham crop are odds-on to leave in the coming window. As it stands, Toby Alderweireld at 4/9 and 1/2 duo Hugo Lloris and Mousa Dembele are the men most likely to leave North London. Danny Rose is 8/11 to also exit.
Meanwhile, the Lilywhites’ board may also have trouble keeping onto boss Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine gaffer is 11/10 to part company with the club before next season begins.
And while he may be ‘one of their own’, striker Harry Kane could also say goodbye to his boyhood club – with 2/1 for a farewell in the coming window.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “A fourth-place finish looks likely for Spurs and that – coupled with a trophyless campaign – may just be the final straw for a handful of players.”
