Tottenham v Watford: Spurs to tighten grip on top-four spot

Christian Eriksen - Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur can take a big step towards securing a top-four finish at home to Watford tonight.

Three consecutive losses at Wembley have seen Spurs knocked out of the Champions League and FA Cup. They’re currently fourth, two points ahead of Chelsea in fifth having played a game less.

Recent history suggests they should get back to winning ways here. Spurs are unbeaten in their last 12 games against the Hornets in all competitions.

A home win is going for 1/6. Watford are 14/1 outsiders, with the draw at 13/2.

Javi Gracia’s side are drifting to the end of the campaign and haven’t won any of their last six outings. They haven’t scored in their last six away games either.

Tottenham to win with a -1.0 Handicap is 1/2 and Spurs to Win to Nil is 17/20.

Watford might not be getting many points, but they usually start competitively. They’ve only conceded four first-half goals since January. The problems tend to come after the break. We’ve got Draw / Tottenham at 29/10.

Harry Kane will be focused on helping his side get a vital win. But he also knows that he needs goals to have any chance of catching Mo Salah for the Golden Boot. He’s 17/10 to score 2 goals or more.

It could be worth keeping an eye on Christian Eriksen too. He’s got six in six and is 6/4 to bag anytime here.
