Stoke City’s Jack Butland is odds-on to start Liverpool’s first Premier League game of next season, according to our traders.
After Loris Karius’ nightmare in the Champions League final, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Liverpool brought in a new number one.
Butland looks increasingly likely to be that man. The England international is now 8/11 to join the Reds.
It’s 3/1 that Jurgen Klopp sticks with Karius at the start of the season. Simon Mignolet is 4/1 to get the nod.
Roma’s Alisson is a 6/1 shot to move to Merseyside and start on the opening day of the campaign.
