Newcastle v Chelsea tips: Blues to make final top-four push

Published:
Eden Hazard - Chelsea

Chelsea travel to Newcastle United on the final day of the season knowing that anything less than a win will end their slim hopes of a top-four finish.

The West London side will need Liverpool to lose to Brighton & Hove Albion to have a realistic shot of claiming a Champions League place. But they’ll still need to do their part.

Chelsea are 8/15 to end a run of four games without a victory at St. James’ Park. The Magpies are a 5/1 shot after failing to win any of their last four home league games. The draw is 3/1.

Newcastle have had an impressive season under Rafa Benitez but they could be up against it here. The Blues come into this game having won four consecutive away games (including extra time).

There tend to be goals when these two sides face each other. There have been Over 2.5 Goals in six of the last seven meetings. It’s 5/6 to happen again this time. You can get Chelsea and Over 2.5 Goals for 7/5 too.

Antonio Conte’s side have also got an FA Cup final to look forward to. Their players will want to impress to earn a place in the side at Wembley.

Olivier Giroud is one of those pushing for a starting spot. He’s 7/2 to score first.

Eden Hazard is also 13/10 to score anytime after being left out of the starting XI in midweek.

Newcastle may not get many chances. They’ll be looking to Dwight Gayle to make them count. He’s 16/5 to hit the back of the net.
