Premier League Picks: Chelsea and Swansea to secure victories

Liberty Stadium - Swansea

The Premier League reaches its climax on Sunday. While the title is wrapped up, the battle for a top-four spot is going down to the wire.

Elsewhere, Arsenal will be bidding to give Arsene Wenger a fitting send-off in West Yorkshire, whilst Swansea City must win big to keep their extremely thin hopes of survival alive.

Here are our tips on the action…

Newcastle United v Chelsea

The Blues have taken an impressive 13 points from their last five games. They visit a Newcastle side who’ve lost four in a row. It’s 4/6 for a Chelsea victory on Tyneside. Having conceded just once in four games, the Blues are 9/5 to Win to Nil.

Only a win will do for Antonio Conte’s men if they’re to have any chance of finishing in the top four.

The visitors have Olivier Giroud in tip-top form. The Frenchman has netted four in his last six outings, closing the scoring in two of them. It’s 13/10 for Giroud to register Anytime, while he’s 7/2 to be Last Goalscorer.

Huddersfield Town v Arsenal

Wenger’s final game as Gunners boss could bring a strong display from his side. But the stats don’t look good for Arsenal. They’re the only side in England’s top five divisions without an away point in 2018.

We’re unlikely to see many goals in this one. None of Huddersfield’s last nine games have seen more than two. It’s 27/20 for Under 2.5 Goals. Meanwhile, with the Terriers drawing three of their last five games, this game is 16/5 for honours-even.

Swansea City v Stoke City

The Swans need a 10-goal, three-point swing to pull off final-day survival. The only bright spot in that situation lies in the fact they’re facing a Stoke side who haven’t won on the road since October.

With the Potters already relegated, Swansea are 5/6 to Win – and have the impetus on their side. Needing to score big, it’s 11/5 for the Swans -1 handicap. Meanwhile, club top-scored Jordan Ayew is 13/10 to net anytime.

Liverpool v Brighton & Hove Albion

On paper, this looks one of the day’s most entertaining clashes. Brighton have scored in four of their last six games, but face an attacking juggernaut in the form of Jurgen Klopp’s men. It’s 7/4 for Liverpool to Win and Both Teams to Score.

The Reds have bagged 27 goals in nine home league games, and are 8/11 to Score 3+ Goals once again. And the impetus is on them to score again, with a point still needed to guarantee Champions League football next term.

Brazilian ace Roberto Firmino has made the net bulge four times in his last seven appearances, and is 23/20 to sign off the season with another.

And the rest…

Manchester City can make more history by cracking the 100-point mark if they win at Southampton. Pep Guardiola’s men are 4/9 for victory on the South Coast.

Their local rivals Manchester United host Watford. The Red Devils have enjoyed four different 2-0 home wins at Old Trafford in 2018. Another 2-0 United win is priced at 6/1.

Whatever happens on Sunday, Turf Moor will host Europa League football next term. Sean Dyche’s Burnley will be looking for a rallying send-off against a patchy AFC Bournemouth. It’s 11/4 for the Clarets to Win and keep a clean sheet.
