Five clubs 9/2 or shorter to sign Wilshere; Everton among favs

The odds are in on Jack Wilshere’s next club, and the view from our trading floor is that it’s a five-way tussle.

The 26-year-old leaves Arsenal this summer following ten seasons in the Gunners’ first team. But his next destination is up in the air.

As it stands, each of AC Milan, Everton and Fenerbahce are 5/2 apiece.

However, the UEFA ban on I Rossoneri competing in Europe in the next two seasons could hamper their hopes of landing Wilshere.

That trio are followed in the betting by West Ham United at 3/1, while fellow London club Crystal Palace are 9/2 for the England international’s signature.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Plenty have thrown their names into the mix when it comes to Jack Wilshere, but we’ve whittled it down to five clubs across Europe likely to make a move.”
