Barcelona v Tottenham tips: Spurs can triumph with Barca missing key men

Christian Eriksen - Spurs

Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur face off for just the second time in their history on Sunday morning.

A full-strength Barca would likely have the edge in this one. But they’re without a number of key men – including Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic.

They face a Spurs side who ended last term in high-scoring form. So, how’s this one shaping up?

Match Odds

In the match betting, Barca are narrow favourites at 27/20. Meanwhile, it’s 13/8 for a Spurs win and 5/2 for a Draw after 90 minutes.

Even with the La Liga side missing some star names, they’ve got a number of talented forwards on tour. As for Tottenham, they’ve got the likes of Heung-Min Son and Christian Eriksen available.

That means Both Teams to Score is a skinny 4/9, while it’s 1/2 we see Over 2.5 Goals.

If anyone edges this, it could be Mauricio Pochettino’s men. They’re 9/1 to get a 2-1 victory. Meanwhile, it’s 21/20 for Spurs to Score 2+ Goals.

Goalscorer Odds

We mentioned Eriksen above, and the Danish midfielder impressed at this summer’s World Cup – grabbing a goal along the way. He’s 13/5 to find the net Anytime.

Meanwhile, teammate Erik Lamela is 23/10 to get on the scoresheet.

For Barca, Munir El Haddadi will be looking to catch the manager’s eye after banging the goals in on loan at Alaves last term. He’s 13/8 Anytime, and 8/1 to net two or more.
