Tuesday’s transfer rumour round-up: Reds exits and Zaha involved

It’s been a relatively quiet day on the transfer front with only a handful of rumours to indulge in.
However, we always aim to please. And as paper never refuses ink, as they say, we’ll trundle on with the best of today’s gossip and reports.
Liverpool exits looking imminent
What comes in, must go out. And with four new players arriving at Anfield, some of the current crop are going to have to make way.
Jurgen Klopp reportedly feels like the Reds squad is a bit bloated, too. And the German coach is looking to move a few players on.
Lorus Karius, Danny Ings, Divock Origi, Lazar Markovic, and Marko Grujic are all likely to be the names heading for the exit.
Sarr to be the next Prem star?
Few leagues produce as many young talents in such abundance as France’s Ligue 1. The latest hot prospect being linked with a big move is Rennes’ ace, Ismaila Sarr.
The 20-year-old is reportedly catching the eye of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea credited with an interest.
The young forward is absolutely rapid with a keen eye for goal. However, it seems like it’s mostly his agent doing the leaking. Take that as you will.
Zaha heading across London?
Wilfried Zaha’s next destination could be a short jaunt across the capital to Chelsea. The Crystal Palace talisman is said to have asked to leave Selhurst Park.
And at 25-years-old, it’s probably not a bad time to bag a big move. The Ivory Coast international had a terrific campaign last season. And he’s the type of mobile, direct wide forward that Maurizio Sarri would make good use of.
The Eagles won’t let him leave on the cheap, however. This one could go to deadline day.
Va-Va-Villa?
Although this is not strictly a player deal, speculation is rife that Thierry Henry is set to be handed the reins at Aston Villa.
New majority shareholders Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris are expected to hold a meeting with current Villans boss Steve Bruce tomorrow.
It would certainly be a risky, bold move by the Birmingham outfit’s new owners. Henry’s managerial experience is limited, to say the least.
