Man United and Fenerbahce lead race for Mesut Ozil

Mesut Ozil has been in and out of the Arsenal team so far this season.

The German playmaker has completed just one 90 minutes in the league so far, with new boss Unai Emery dragging him off before the end against Chelsea and Cardiff City.

Arsenal’s number 10 divides opinion in the game, his silky skills and assists are sometimes offset by questions over his work-rate.

Our traders are backing the midfielder for a move away from the Emirates Stadium with Manchester United at 4/1 and Turkish club Fenerbahce slight favourites at 5/2.

The 29-year-old is expected to play in Arsenal’s game away to Newcastle United on Saturday in a game where his resilience will be under scrutiny.

Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said; “Ozil might be Arsenal’s highest earner, but that won’t guarantee him playing time under Emery. The latest odds suggest the German could be months away from a mega money move to Manchester.”

Meanwhile, 6/1 says any Chinese Club will be Ozil’s next port of call, with 10/1 on offer for him to join PSG and 16/1 available for him to sign for Bayern Munich

Ozil is of Turkish descent and may want a taste of Super Lig football. However it’s his £350,000 wages that could prove a stumbling block in any move.
