West Ham more popular than Man United and Chelsea for Carabao Cup

The Carabao Cup action returns tonight, with the bulk of the Third Round ties scheduled for this evening.

And remarkably, the latest stats are showing that West Ham United are more popular to lift the cup than either Chelsea or Manchester United.

A full 9% of bets on the Tournament Winner are in favour of Manuel Pellegrini’s Irons. They’re currently 25/1 to lift the trophy for the first time in their history.

Liverpool are the most popular pick as it stands, with 22% of bettors getting behind Jurgen Klopp’s side, who are 7/1 third-favourites to lift the cup.

Man United are second in the odds at 6/1, but have received just 5% of the bets. Chelsea aren’t much more fancied, with 6% of punters getting on the Blues.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Liverpool have proven a popular pick with punters across all four competitions this season and at 7/1, there’s every chance they take at least the Carabao Cup back to Anfield with them come the end of the season.”
