Leeds United are flying in the Championship right now. And more good news could soon be on the way – in the shape of a memorable homecoming.
With James Milner’s contract at Liverpool set to expire next summer, we make it 2/1 for the former Whites ace to return to Elland Road.
The 32-year-old began his career with Leeds, playing 50 times for his boyhood club before departing to Newcastle United in 2004. However, the latest odds suggest he could be returning home.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “If Leeds needed an incentive to win promotion back to the Premier League, then the potential return of James Milner has to be it.”
Next up for Leeds is the visit of Brentford on Saturday, with the hosts 13/10 for victory at Elland Road.
As it stands, they’re 5/4 to achieve promotion back to the Prem this season.
