Victoria, Albert and Arthur head likeliest names for 2019 Royal Baby

2019 Royal Baby

Following news from Kensington Palace that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child in 2019, our traders have got to work pricing up the likeliest names.

So far it’s Victoria which leads the way at 8/1, followed by Albert, Arthur and Phillip at 10/1 apiece.

Alice then comes next at 12/1, ahead of a whole host of names at 16/1, including Diana and Elizabeth.

At the other end of the scale, punters can back the Royal sprog to be named after Meghan’s sister Samantha at 100/1, with little baby Brexit an enormous 500/1 shot.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Given this child will be in line to the throne, it’s probably a safe assumption that the couple will opt for a regal name that has been used in the royal family over the generations.”

She added: “However, with Meghan’s USA roots it would be remiss of bookmakers to rule out an American moniker featuring somewhere.”
