Burnley host Newcastle this evening, with both sides chasing a crucial win at Turf Moor.

The two teams are both on nine points, just one point above the relegation zone. Whoever gets the points here could climb as high as 13th.

Ahead of the action, we’ve got all the keys odds and talking points…

Match Odds

Newcastle come into this one on the back of two straight wins. They’ve never beaten Burnley in the Premier League, but our traders give them a slight edge at 8/5.

Burnley will be looking to end a five-game run without a win here. They’re 15/8 to get the points.

Newcastle may have the momentum, but neither side is going to risk leaving themselves open. The draw is going for 2/1.

Talking Tactics

Both side’s tactics are built on keeping things tight defensively. But Burnley haven’t been as solid as usual recently. They’ve shipped at least four goals in three of their last four outings. Salomon Rondon’s physicality could cause real problems for them.

Sean Dyche will hope that Johann Gudmundsson is fit to play a part here. He’s been involved in six of Burnley’s 12 league goals this term.

If the Iceland international isn’t fit to play, Aaron Lennon’s dribbling could target Newcastle’s left side. Rafa Benitez may have to deploy Javier Manquillo there, with Paul Dummett a doubt.

Goalscorer Odds

Sam Vokes leads the way as a 5/1 First Goalscorer, with teammates Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood close behind at 11/2.

Rondon is11/2 to open the scoring for the Magpies, with Joselu rated 6/1. Rondon’s also 11/5 to net anytime.

Jeff Hendrick scored the only goal in this fixture last season. He’s 7/2 to get on the scoresheet again.
