French star Master Dino in running for Novices’ Chase win

Published:

Master Dino is due to make his British debut at Plumpton on Sunday as he gears up for Cheltenham Festival in March.

France’s champion hurdler is now 16/1 in the race for the JLT Novices’ Chase.

A second start over fences at the Sussex National Meeting this weekend will be a tricky introduction.

But it could be one that leads to bigger things for the impressive five-year-old.

In this Saturday’s Tolworth Novices’ Chase, Ratthill is still the 7/4 favourite ahead of Elixir de Nutz at 3/1.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “JP McManus has three single-priced runners at the head of the Tolworth Hurdle betting.

So unsurprisingly punters are keeping their powder dry until we get more of a clue as to who is running.”

Elsewhere, Monsieur Le Coq has been well backed for the Handicap Hurdle.

The bay gelding is now 5/1 to take the win at Sandown Park this weekend.
