Man City 9-0 was shorter odds than Burton win before kick-off

| 12.01.2019

Manchester City fans were on cloud nine last night, after one of the biggest batterings in Carabao Cup history – pummelling Burton Albion 9-0.

However, the odds of a 9-0 mauling (45/1) were actually shorter ahead of kick-off than a shock away win for the Brewers (50/1).

But one savvy Ladbrokes punter bagged a 9-0 home win earlier on Wednesday, with a £30 stake when the scoreline was up for grabs at 60/1!

It’s fair to say the chances of a 10-0 second-leg triumph for the League One side are roughly on par with Guardiola starting the game up front.

With that in mind, our traders make City firm favourites to lift the trophy at 4/9.

Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said: “City more than got the job done at the Etihad last night, and plenty of punters cashed in on their hammering of Burton.”
