Premier League top-four odds tightest yet; 45% of bets on Man United

The battle for a Premier League top-four spot is the closest it’s been this season, according to the latest odds.
Our traders now have four teams priced between 2/9 and 3/1 to make the cut this term.
As it stands, Tottenham Hotspur at 2/9 are the men most likely. Spurs currently have the Prem’s best away record, winning an incredible 11 of their 13 games on the road.
Next up are 2/5 shots Chelsea, who have conceded just 19 goals in the league to date.
However, it’s Manchester United who punters are piling on. 45% of all bets on teams making the top four since June 2018 have backed the Red Devils.
And the recent odds suggest that stat could lead to some serious bookie-bashing. United have tumbled from 10/1 to just 6/4 following eight straight wins in all competitions under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
As for Arsenal, they’ve drifted out to 3/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “As if the title race itself wasn’t enough, we could be set for the most thrilling top four four-way tussle ever.”
Apati added: “We haven’t seen United play football like this since the Fergie era and if Solskjaer can get his side into the top four by the end of the campaign, it would be by far the worst result in our book.”
