Liverpool’s odds to become Premier League champions have shortened further after a flurry of bets backing them for glory.

City fell to a shock defeat away at St James’ Park last night, which has seen Pep Guardiola’s men drift out to 12/5 to retain their title.

The Reds have had their odds shortened to 1/3 to bring the title to the City of Liverpool come May.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield’s chances of staying up have hit rock bottom, with 1/100 now on offer for them to go down, while 2/7 and 3/10 says they’re joined by Cardiff and Fulham.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Without kicking a ball, Liverpool have seen their outright odds slashed following a shock Man City defeat, while at the other end of the scale Huddersfield have never been shorter for the drop.”
