Europa League Tips: Can Arsenal and Celtic both bag wins?

| 12.02.2019

After Fenerbahce played Zenit St. Petersburg on Tuesday, the Europa League returns tonight with the remaining 30 clubs all involved.

Chelsea are in Sweden to take on Malmo looking to take a valuable away win back to London.

But there’s some tasty ties all around Europe this evening that haven’t gone unnoticed either.

Ahead of kick-off we round up five of the most fascinating ties on offer…

BATE Borisov v Arsenal (BT Sport 2 @ 5:55pm)

Arsenal went all the way to the semi-finals of this competition last year, but BATE Borisov stand in their way if they want to go on another long run this time.

The away side are heavy 2/5 favourites to bag the win. Even a draw at 7/2 could do for Arsenal – with their impressive home record.

But the Gunners love conceding and are 2/1 to win with both teams to score.

Alexandre Lacazette is 7/2 to score first, while Denis Suarez is 5/2 anytime to notch his first goal for Arsenal. BATE’s Alexander Hleb is 11/2 to bag against his former club.

Lazio v Sevilla (BT Sport ESPN @ 5:55pm)

Lazio and Sevilla lock horns in what could be one of the most evenly contested matches of the night.

The Italians are slight favourites at 27/20 at the Stadio Olimpico. But Sevilla are a dangerous counter-attacking side who are at 21/10 to win.

A score draw is 10/3 with over 2.5 goals at 11/10.

If ya fancy Ciro Immobile to bag against his former side then you can find the Lazio man at 11/8 anytime.

Celtic v Valencia (BT Sport 3 @ 8:00pm)

Celtic face a tough two-legs over Spanish giants Valencia. They will hope their famous Celtic Park atmosphere comes into to play here and help score the win at 21/10.

The home side have hit a hot-streak in recent weeks with new signings Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah making an instant impact.

Burke is 12/5 to net his fourth goal of his loan spell. Valencia haven’t lost in the league since early January though, Kevin Gameiro to score and a Los Che win is 7/2.

Shakhtar Donetsk v Eintracht Frankfurt (8:00pm)

Frankfurt may have the Bundesliga’s top-scorer Luka Jovic in their side but face a team who have lost just once at home this season.

Shakhtar are 13/10 to win and maintain this impressive record. There should be goals galore in this one tonight with both teams to score at 4/6.

But the home side haven’t played a competitive game since the Champions League in December, so this could give Frankfurt the edge at 2/1 for victory.

Jovic is 4/1 to net the opening goal.

Sporting Lisbon v Villarreal (8:00pm)

Sporting Lisbon will be buoyed by the fact Villarreal have only won two away games this season.

The Portuguese club are 6/5 to bag a vital home win. Bruno Fernandes has found the net 20 times this campaign. The midfielder is 10/3 to score anytime here.

Villarreal do have Carlos Bacca amongst their ranks, the Colombian is 13/8 to strike tonight. Our traders have a stalemate at 9/4.
