Europa League tips: Home wins on the cards tonight?

After a couple of dramatic nights in the Champions League, tonight’s it’s all about the Europa League.

It’s the second leg of the round-of-32. Just 16 teams will remain after tonight, with the draw for the next round taking place on Friday.

Arsenal are looking to overturn at 1-0 deficit at home to BATE Borisov, and we’ve got a full preview of that one right here.

Stay put though, for a one-stop rundown of the other big matches taking place this evening…

Villarreal v Sporting Lisbon (5:55pm)

It’s advantage Villarreal in this Spanish-Portuguese contest after the La Liga side won 1-0 in Lisbon last week. They’ll be confident of seeing the job through on home soil, having lost only three of their last 16 at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

The Yellow Submarine are 10/11 to win the second leg too, while 1/6 says they go through.

Sporting, with just two wins in six, are 29/10 to win tonight and 7/2 to progress.

Carlos Bacca heads up the first goalscorer betting at 16/5, just ahead of Bas Dost at 9/2. Everyone’s favourite midfielder Santi Cazorla is 13/5 to net anytime.

Napoli v FC Zurich (BT Sport Extra 2 @ 5:55pm)

Serie A challengers Napoli already have one foot in the next round after a 3-1 win away at FC Zurich a week ago.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men are 1/6 to win the second leg, with the Swiss side way out at 18s. The scale of Zurich’s task is laid bare with their odds to progress standing at a mighty 66/1.

Zurich have to score three times to have any chance of going through, which could leave them exposed at the back. There’s 6/10 about a Napoli win and over 2.5 goals.

Benfica v Galatasaray (BT Sport Extra 4 @ 8:00pm)

Like Napoli, Benfica will fancy their chances of progressing into the next round after a 2-1 win at Galatasaray in the first leg.

The Portuguese giants have won their last six games, and that includes a 10-0 hammering of Nacional. Their Turkish opponents are in good form too but have failed to win 11 of their last 12 Europa League games.

We go 8/13 about Benfica securing this by winning tonight’s second leg. They’re 1/10 to go through. Galatasaray have it all to do, they’re 4/1 to win this evening and 5/1 to progress.

Jonas tops the first goalscorer market at 14/5, just ahead of Haris Seferovic and Joao Felix at 7/2.

Chelsea v Malmo (BT Sport 2 @ 8:00pm)

After a 2-1 win in Sweden, tonight’s second leg at Stamford Bridge should offer under-fire Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri a temporary reprieve.

Sarri is sure to rotate his squad tonight, with Sunday’s League Cup final on the horizon, but the Blues should have enough quality to see this through.

Chelsea have lost only two of their last 22 at the Bridge, and are 1/4 to win this second leg. Malmo are out at 12s, and the odds on progression are even more stark, with Chelsea 1/100 and the Swedish visitors at 16s.

Gonzalo Higuain is 11/4 favourite to score first, with Olivier Giroud at 3/1 and Ross Barkley 6/1 to break the deadlock as he did in the first leg.

Inter Milan v Rapid Vienna (BT Sport 3 @ 8:00pm)

Serie A giants Inter Milan are another side who will be hoping they’ve done the hard part already.

I Nerazzurri bagged a 1-0 win in Vienna last week, and are 1/3 to win at the San Siro. They’re 1/16 to progress, with Rapid Vienna out at 17/2 to win the match and 8s to go through.

Lautaro Martinez netted the game’s only goal seven days ago, and the 21-year-old shares 4/1 favouritism to score first alongside Ivan Perisic.
