Premier League tips: Can Cardiff pick-up much-needed win?

We love a bumper midweek of Premier League footy, and we’re kicking off with a quartet of ties this evening.
None of the top six sides are in action, but there’s plenty at stake at the other end of the table.
Newcastle United and Burnley will be looking to move further clear of the drop zone when they meet at St James’ Park. We’ve got a full preview of that one right here.

Cardiff City v Everton
The Bluebirds suffered a 5-1 trouncing at home to Watford on Friday night, but will fancy their chances of three points this time around with struggling Everton in town.
The Merseysiders have won only one of their last five league games, however. Plus, Cardiff have taken at least a point in seven of 10 home matches versus non-top six opposition this term.
Richarlison heads up the first goalscorer betting at 4/1, although the Brazilian has only netted twice in his last 10 Toffees appearances.
Bobby Reid bagged a double in Cardiff’s last home win over Bournemouth, and is 6/1 to break the deadlock. And watch out for Sol Bamba, who is 11/2 to net anytime for the third game in a row.
Huddersfield Town v Wolverhampton Wanderers
They keep on trying, but Huddersfield Town seemingly can’t stop the slide into the Championship. The Terriers haven’t won a league game since November – ironically a 2-0 win at Wolves.
But they’ve collected just a solitary point in their last 14 matches, and it’s no surprise to see high-flying Wolves chalked up as 4/5 favourites for this one.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have already collected a club-record Premier League points tally, and are on course for a potential seventh-place finish.
Their free-flowing style of football has greatly impressed this season, and they’ve won four of their last five league games by two goals or more. They’re 12/5 on the -1 handicap.
With four goals in four league games, Raul Jimenez is in great form right now, and the Mexican striker is 7/2 favourite to score first.
Leicester City v Brighton & Hove Albion
Will the Foxes be unleashed now that Claude Puel has gone? The Frenchman parted ways with the 2015-16 Premier League champions following Saturday’s 4-1 loss at home to Crystal Palace.
A bad run of form proved the end for Puel, but caretaker coaches Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler could have the perfect start at home to a Brighton side equally short of form.
There’s 10/11 about a home win tonight, with the Seagulls at 10/3 and a draw 23/10. Brighton have lost seven of their last 15 away games in the league by two goals or more, and there’s 13/5 about Leicester -1 tonight.
Will Jamie Vardy be having a party? The former England international didn’t seem to suit Puel’s style of football, but he could thrive now. Vardy is 10/3 favourite to net first with his third goal in three games against the Seagulls.
Brighton’s Glenn Murray at 5/1 to break the deadlock for the second time this season, having done so in November’s 1-1 draw on the south coast.
